ABOUT DAVID CAPRITA

David Caprita was born a Navy brat in Jacksonville, Florida. So he saw a pretty good piece of the world before he was a teenager. By then, he’d begun his entertainment career in radio at the ripe age of 13, beginning in Northwest Florida and eventually hosting morning shows across the nation, including Miami, Seattle, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

David began acting in Miami, appearing in film and TV as well as performing on stage. In 2000, David was nominated in the Best Actor category of the prestigious Carbonell Awards for his lead performance in the Southeastern U.S. premiere of Tracy Letts’ “Killer Joe”. David also appeared in Letts’ “Bug”. He has also written his own plays including “Jake & the Angel,” which premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2018 as well as several one acts, TV pilots, short stories all available on this site and hundreds of comedy bits and sketches for radio and stage. He graduated from The Sanford Meisner Center for Acting in 1998 and has continued his studies at William Alderson Studios and Baron & Brown.

In addition to hosting morning shows, David’s radio career includes producing and co hosting talk shows such as “The Neil Rogers Show,” “The Randi Rhodes Show,” various sports programs at NBC Sports Radio and creating and hosting his own program “Uncommon Ground” for Sirius/XM Radio.

After two decades in Los Angeles acting, writing and announcing on 94.7 The Wave, David now resides in Atlanta with his wife Ellen.

David is represented by Joy Pervis at JPervis Talent Agency and Marci Polzin at Artistic Talent Agency.
